The 22nd of our Insta sessions features Chris Redmond. Chris is a poet, musician, performer and producer. A regular at music and literature festivals, he’s been featured on BBC Radio 1, 2 and 4; XFM; CBBC; and Sky Arts. Chris’s debut collection Let The Pig Out is published by Burning Eye.
Chris is artistic director of Tongue Fu – one of the UK’s leading spoken word shows – where poets, comedians, storytellers and rappers perform with improvised music and films. Tongue Fu has featured on BBC R2’s Arts Show with Jonathon Ross and Sky Arts’ Live at Cheltenham Literature Festival TV Special, and has toured from London’s Roundhouse to Dublin to Rio to Cape Town. The first Tongue Fu studio album, featuring Anthony Anaxagorou, Vanessa Kisuule, Amyra Leon, Dizraeli and Zia Ahmed will be released on 27 November.

This session will be hosted by Matt Abbott. The sessions in general welcome guests to join us for relaxed conversations and performances. They’re broadcast live on our Instagram account from 7.30-8pm (BST) on Tuesdays, and then uploaded to Facebook, YouTube and IGTV shortly afterwards.
