Leeds’ most innovative spoken word night, Chelping at the Leeds Library, will be celebrating its 10th edition with nationally acclaimed poet, Hannah Lowe.

Since launching in April 2018, Chelping at The Leeds Library has firmly established itself as the leading spoken word poetry night in Leeds. Taking place in the stunning 251-year-old subscription library, the event has consistently attracted nationally acclaimed poets from around the UK.

The tenth event takes place on Wednesday 25 September with guests Hannah Lowe and John Darwin and compered by Matt Abbott. Emerging local poets can take part in an open mic section which offers them the opportunity to perform alongside writers of outstanding calibre meaning that Chelping lies firmly in the heart of Leeds’ poetry and spoken word family.
