The 17th of our Insta sessions features Madelaine Kinsella. Madelaine is a poet from Liverpool currently studying an MA in Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University. Her work is concerned with Scouse identity, vernacular, fashion culture, and how much working-class femininity plays an essential role in that. Her work has been featured in Bido Lito! and Fourteen Poems, and she is the Editor of Liverpudlian Zine JARG.
This session will be hosted by Toria Garbutt. The sessions in general welcome guests to join us for relaxed conversations and performances. They’re broadcast live on our Instagram account from 7.30-8pm (BST) on Tuesdays, and then uploaded to Facebook, YouTube and IGTV shortly afterwards.

The 16th of our Insta sessions features Louise Fazackerley. Louise is a poet from the exotic Northern streets of Orwell’s Wigan. In performance, she explores the synergy between poetry and movement. Her socially conscious writing makes the ugly beautiful and the mundane fantastical.
The 15th of our Insta sessions features Jasmine Gardosi. Jasmine is a multiple slam champion, Birmingham Poet Laureate finalist and recent winner of the Out-Spoken Prize for Poetry. She has appeared on BBC Radio 3’s The Verb and BBC Radio 4, and has performed at Tate Modern, Glastonbury Festival, and on Button Poetry.
The 13th of our Insta sessions features Sharena Lee Satti. Sharena is a poet and the author of ‘Testing Times’, ‘Broken Chains’ and ‘UnapologeticShe’. Selected to become a Community Champion in her native Bradford, she writes poetry about her personal life, environmental issues, social stigmas, homelessness, poverty and discrimination. She speaks openly about her past and the struggles she’s had to endure. She found her voice and encourages others to find theirs through poetry and self-expression.
The 11th of our Insta sessions features Victoria McNulty. Victoria is a performance poet from the East End of Glasgow. Her debut chapbook Confessionals was published by Speculative Books and later directed and produced by Sonnet Youth as a full-length show to critical acclaim.
The tenth of our Insta sessions features Camille McCawley. Camille is a British poet currently living in Derby. She won the Hidden Voices competition for National Poetry Day and is Slam of the North and Derby Poetry Festival slam champion 2019.
The ninth of our Insta sessions features Casey Bailey. Casey is a writer, performer and educator, born and raised in Nechells, Birmingham. Casey released his debut collection ‘Adjusted‘ in 2018 with Verve Poetry Press and had his play ‘GrimeBoy’ commissioned by Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Casey’s poetry has featured in a number of anthologies and he was commissioned by the BBC to write ‘The Ballad of The Peaky Blinders’ in 2019. Casey has performed his poetry nationally and internationally.
