As I’m sure you’ll have gathered, we’re having to postpone our spring events for the foreseeable future as a result of the COVID-19 pandemics. Obviously on the one hand we’re gutted about it, but at the same time, it’s clearly the safe and responsible thing to do.
To confirm, the postponed events are as follows:
- LIVEwire Leeds No.4 with Toria Garbutt and Kevin P. Gilday on Wednesday 1 April
- Chelping at The Leeds Library with Hollie McNish on Wednesday 22 April
- LIVEwire Colchester with Luke Wright, Molly Naylor and Maria Ferguson on Wednesday 29 April
At this stage it’s impossible to say when we’ll be able to reschedule these, and as you know, the situation is changing drastically on a daily basis at the moment. My gut instinct would say that these will be in the autumn.
If you’ve bought a ticket for LIVEwire Leeds No.4, you’ll have already received an email from me with your options. I know that The Leeds Library are offering refunds for Chelping ticket holders, and you’ll have to contact Colchester Arts Centre directly regarding LIVEwire there.
As soon as we have a confirmed date for either of these events we’ll announce it, and fingers crossed we’ll be able to celebrate with a nice (safely) packed room!
Finally, an awful lot of artists are suffering really badly as a result of so many event cancellations, so if you can, please support them by buying their merch, sharing their work and maybe event donating to their various pages.
Stay safe and take care,

Our second regional ‘LIVEwire’ event saw us team up with Raise The Bar to put on a storming night at Arnolfini. Sets from Salena Godden, Jess Green and Kevin P. Gilday made a truly amazing night, as captured by Alex Sheppard in these photos.
We’ve also got this brilliant highlights video, courtesy of Raise The Bar! The video is available to view on our YouTube channel (embedded below) as well as our Facebook page, IGTV channel and Twitter account, so please give it a share. Ta.
Our first regional event saw a packed crowd enjoy sets from Luke Wright, Louise Fazackerley and Kirsty Taylor at The Edge in Manchester, and we can’t wait for another really special event in Bristol.Continue reading “LIVEwire Bristol | Salena Godden & Co. on 13 Nov”
We’ve been treated to some live sessions from Kevin P. Gilday & The Glasgow Cross, featuring some stripped-back performances at 4MH Studios in Glasgow.
A trio of videos – ‘An Atheist’s Prayer’, ‘Deep Sea Diver’ and ‘The Vision (Jesus Of Possil)’ – are available to view on our YouTube channel (there’s a dedicated KPG & TGC playlist here) and also on our Facebook page.
‘Experience Essential’ out 18 June
We were thrilled to co-release the début album from Kevin P. Gilday & The Glasgow Cross on 18 June, in partnership with Iffy Folk Records. The album, entitled ‘Experience Essential’, is available on CD, limited edition vinyl and digital download.
We’ve been a fan of Kevin P. Gilday’s for a while, so when we heard about this new musical project with Ralph Hector, we were really excited. The album fuses spoken word with post-punk and electronica, with a furiously contemporary edge.
