We return to Byline Festival in Sussex for the third year running. Our ‘LIVEwire’ Salon is a proven hit at the festival, and this year we have no fewer than twelve renegade poets performing for you at some point over the weekend. We’re on late on the Friday and Sunday nights.
Byline is a unique and dynamic festival which celebrates independent journalism and freedom of speech, whilst also targeting corruption and bias in the media, as well as prejudice in wider society.
This year’s festival sees Pussy Riot return for another headline set, as well as a huge range of talks, workshops, screenings, performances and more. Click here for more info and tickets.Continue reading “LIVEwire at Byline Festival from 23-25 Aug”

The tracks were recorded during Salena’s Saturday night performance at the festival, which received an extensive standing ovation and was one of the stand-out performances of Salena’s career.
You can purchase the album on CD or digital download from £5, and both purchases include a high-quality video of Salena’s Byline performance of ‘Pessimism Is For Lightweights’.
‘LIVEwire’ was released in spring 2017, and is available on 2LP gatefold vinyl and Special Edition jewel case CD, as well as in a high-quality zine format.
The album was shortlisted for The Poetry Society’s prestigious Ted Hughes Award, and was given 5* in The iPaper (“a spoken word album that is truly electric”).
